Inkle Loom

Long time, no update!

In May, I got a new-to-me Ashford Inklette. I love it! Here are some pictures of the two bands I have finished so far:

Actually, I guess I didn't take pictures of the first band. I'll post those later.

Hi Laura - got here from vandwellers - your inkle weaving is gorgeous. I recently got a Beka rigid heddle loom. I warped it to a pastel plaid and had a great time with it, but I think there is going to be a learning curve to "selvages" LOL It is a very relaxing pastime, though, and I was surprised to see how quickly it went.
I bought a conversion van last fall - told the kids it was going to be my retirement RV. The grandkids think it is heaven and the first thing each group of them asks when they see me is if I drove the van to their house : ) Hope you will be able to get yours soon.

Thanks! I love the inkle, but I need to figure out a better way to hold it (probably clamped on to a stand) in order to use it again. I would love a rigid heddle loom! I can imagine there is a definite learning curve for the selvedges. :-) I have a Mirrix Big Sister tapestry loom that I had some issues with on that, and I think a rigid heddle would be even more difficult. Thanks for visiting my blog! I hope you love your van, and I can't wait to get one! :-)
