Found a tutorial for creating mendhi inspired mandalas on magamerlina.com. they are gorgeous! I am going to do one more closely following the mendhi tattoo idea later, but this was my first mandala, done last night:

I am getting pencils every month from Felissimo, a company in Japan. They have a set of 500 pencils which are available by subscription only, 25 pencils a month. They don't send them in order, apparently, but I now have seven sets. I also bought a large sketchbook a month or so ago - and when I say large, I mean LARGE... It has over 600 pages, and the pages are 11x12 inches.
So. With all of that space, I decided to devote a page to each pencil shipment and create a 20 page color chart. I have all twenty drawn, and last night finished coloring in the last two sets I have so far. Here are the pictures so far:

I thought I posted this last month, but apparently I didn't have a good connection. I stayed at Lake Brownwood State Park for the first two weeks I was in Brownwood. It was wonderful. It was peaceful, beautiful, and had me wondering what it takes to become a park ranger, because I would totally clean bathrooms and shower stalls at the park in order to spend my days there. I understand workamping now. If I could park my RV at a national or state park in return for cleaning and hosting duties, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would just need my own health insurance. Maybe next year I will look into the costs of "Obamacare," and at some point cut back on the number of assignments I do for the staffing companies.
I also took my niece and nephew who live in TX to Dinosaur Valley State Park yesterday (April 5th, in case my phone posts this with the date I started the post). We had so much fun! I will do a separate entry for it, though.

Driving back from Phoenix, it got a little cold in the RV. The windows needed some insulation. Reflectix was the best answer, since it will keep out the heat on the summer as well. But, being me, I had to make it pretty. It took a little less than one roll of Reflectix and three rolls of peacock feather Duck tape to make screens for the five windows and three vents. I have more Reflectix that I can use for the driver's and passenger's doors, but I think I will need more for the windshield. I have two more rolls of Duck tape, though!

Well, I didn't buy a Sportsmobile, but I did buy an RV! I am at the dealership picking it up right now, and will be driving back over the next couple of days. My dad flew down with me to get it, so if I have any problems, he will be here to help.
I am so excited!!

I finally filled the pencil holder with all of my colored pencils. I will probably take out the 36 Verithins, since I won't be using them this time around, but I did want a picture with the pencil holder full. I still need to color in the two peacocks on the back and varnish it, but I am working on pencil holders as Christmas presents now, so that can wait.

Okay! Now I only have the back to do on the pencil holder - I have it half done, but that half was all sky and moonscape, the rest now is detail.
This is what I did tonight - a Zentangle Sharpie Rainbow coffee mug to take to work.
